OUR VISION

A Boutique Law Firm.  It is a commonly used concept in law practice, meant to convey a focused, specialized approach.  In our case, it is the core and mission or who and what we are.   And while being focused and specialized, we are also different.

Founder and owner attorney Brandon J. Stewart earned his legal skills in the largest West Michigan law firms and in house with a tier one General Motors supplier and one of West Michigan's premier real estate investment groups.  These experiences demonstrated two things to Brandon very clearly: the shortcomings of the traditional law firm model and the highly separate and distinct needs and expectations of today's legal consumer.

Our vision is to bring top notch expertise and know-how to our clients in a focused, personal, and agile manner.  We want the "old time" attorney client relationship, where we know you and your needs personally, and where these needs trump billable hour requirements and significant overhead demands.  We utilize the latest technologies to run efficiently and without these concerns; to bring your attorney to you directly, without the intermediaries of junior lawyers or staff you don't know.  And that efficiency is passed on to you with exceptional value.

We cooperate with a defined network of fantastic and vetted attorneys to bring expertise outside of our Practice Areas to bear on your matters as needed, and we manage that team on your behalf.

We are based in downtown Muskegon, Michigan with a significant presence in the Grand Rapids region.

Mr. Stewart is licensed in Michigan and Florida.

ATTORNEYS

Brandon has 20 years of legal experience focused primarily on business, real estate, and transactional matters.

Brandon earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor with honors. He then worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman Pete Hoekstra (a job he earned by chasing Pete down in the Grand Rapids airport and showing up unannounced at his D.C. office the next Monday morning), and later held a variety of key positions for State Senator Glenn D. Steil.  At 25, as the the then youngest Chief of Staff in the history of the Michigan Senate, Brandon worked and negotiated with and against senior staff and officials throughout Michigan government on key policy issues.   At other times during this career stage Brandon led a Presidential campaign in 22 Michigan counties (including Kent), worked on the 2000 Florida recount as a ballot observer, and managed logistics for the 2000/2001 Presidential Inaugural Committee.

Brandon left politics and returned to law in 2002, attending Michigan State University Law School as a King Scholar (merit scholarship) student.  With a focus on corporate and securities law, Brandon graduated Magna Cum Laude and joined one of Michigan’s largest law firms as a corporate attorney.  Brandon later worked for a tier one (General Motors) automotive supply company as interim General Counsel, and upon his return to Grand Rapids, he practiced business, transactional (focusing on mergers and acquisitions), and commercial real estate law with another large West Michigan law firm.

In 2011, Brandon founded his own firm believing that the large firm model was leaving many clients’ needs unaddressed.  Many of these founding principles are still at the core of our Firm, as outlined in "Our Vision" above.

Brandon is a native of Muskegon, Michigan, where his family roots run deep.  Brandon's grandfathers were respectively chairman of the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners (Ray Grennan, who among other accomplishments created Heritage Landing) and Mayor of Muskegon (Edward Stewart).  Brandon's grandmother, Joan Stewart, also served on the Muskegon City Commission.  With his kids now out of the house, Brandon is excited to be returning to Muskegon (having moved his practice from Grand Rapids to beautiful Terrace Point in downtown Muskegon in the summer of 2025) and is looking very forward to becoming a contributor to the Muskegon community in hopes of continuing and honoring his grandparents' legacy.

Brandon is licensed to practice in Michigan and Florida and is a multi year recipient of the Superlawyers award.
